About Us

By Artistic Director: Stella Croxon

The Classical Ballet School was founded in London, England, in 1947, by my mother Miss Francesca.

In 1987 we moved to the United States, and over the years Miss Francesca taught hundreds of students in California.

In November 2007, sadly she became ill, and after celebrating her Diamond Jubilee (60 years of teaching), with a gala performance, she semi-retired from teaching, offering just private lessons.

  The school closed.

She now took time to work on perfecting and producing the

Francesca Method.

A culmination of her 60 years of teaching.

She was also working on creating a DVD production series of this method.

In 2009, I re-opened the studio, so that future students could study the Francesca Method.

I also introduced other dance subjects to the school, including Lyrical dance, Irish dance, Belly dance and more...

Despite her failing health, my mother was able to visit  the studio occasionally to see the new students dance.

In December 2010, she watched our Holiday Showcase, sadly this was to be her last visit to her studio.

Pictured here in the center, surrounded by students and families.

She was very happy to be there.

My beloved mother, Miss Francesca died peacefully at home, with me by her side, on February 24th, 2011.

It is my honor to continue to offer the quality dance instruction that she devoted her life to,

and we will only hire the most experienced and qualified teachers.

We look forward to continuing the legacy of Miss Francesca for many years into the future.
