Mat Pilates

 

A 60 minute class designed by Joseph Pilates consisting of 18 core strengthening exercises. This class is perfect for all ages and all levels. The balance of each exercise results in long lean muscles and a strong healthy body.


Pilates called his method Contrology (from control and Greek -λογία, -logia), because he his method uses the mind to control the muscles.

 The program focuses on the core postural muscles to keep the body balanced and support the spine. This class teaches awareness of breath and alignment of the spine while working to strengthen the deep torso muscles.

The class is taught by Certified Pilates Instructor - Miss Eryka Clayton.

PILATES WARM-UP

We also have a 30 minute PILATES WARM-UP class which combines core strengthening Pilates

 with floor-barre stretching, this class is ideal before a ballet class.
