Success Stories

Many of Miss Francesca's pupils have realized their dreams and gone on to professional dancing careers worldwide.  Here are the stories from two of those successes.

Ann Carol joined our school at the age of ten, and passed every Cecchetti ballet  examination with Honours, taking about three exams a year (the normal is one per year)!  At twelve years old she won the National Cecchetti Scholarship. These are awarded every year to the 25 best Cecchetti pupils in the United Kingdom. At the end of the first year, she won the Nancy Graham Award as the best Scholar.  By the end of the third year, she was awarded the very famous "Cyril Beaumont Scholarship."  This was again for being the best Scholar.  This also entitled her to entry into the Royal Ballet School as a full-time student on a full scholarship.  Very soon afterwards, she joined the Royal Ballet Company, and was one of their most artistic dancers.

Jayne Regan studied with Miss Francesca for ten years, ultimately gaining a Scholarship to the Royal Ballet at the age of fifteen. She later joined the Northern Ballet Theatre, and became Prima Ballerina, dancing their leading roles, such as Juliet and Giselle.  Dance Magazine named her "one of the finest dramatic dancers in Britain."
